Welcome to Community for Humanity!
We invite you to join us in working to build a civilization of love that nurtures a culture of respect for life!
Building a Civilization of Love
To “build a civilization of love”, Community for Humanity establishes development partnerships with some of the least-developed communities and villages on earth, to provide assistance with access to clean water and hygienic septic systems, sustainable agriculture, decent affordable housing, education, health care, and microloans for small family farms and other family-based businesses. We seek to operate in a manner that empowers community self-reliance, that encourages “face-to-face” donor/recipient friendships, and that fosters a “reverse mission” perspective among donors.
We are currently working with Top Plus in Pignon, Haiti and with Christ Fruit-Bearing Church in Muwayo, Uganda.
Nurturing a Culture of Respect for Life
To “nurture a culture of respect for life”, Community for Humanity organizes and supports activities and projects to raise awareness that respect for life is a consistent ethic that rejects all war, abortion, euthanasia, slavery and other forms of economic and sexual exploitation, and the death penalty and other forms of retributive justice, and that embraces refugees and migrants, the physically and intellectually disabled, and all whose lives are threatened or marginalized by the fear and insecurity of the powerful.
We seek for ways to overcome the cultural divide on these issues, to build empathy and understanding among those groups that have not yet embraced a consistent life ethic, by “cross-pollinating” events and actions that address one or another “pro-life” issue but which have not explicitly embraced a consistent life ethic. We host an annual Bike for a Culture of Life Across Wisconsin, a fundraiser to support our development work in Haiti and Uganda, and to support a variety of life-affirming organizations working on behalf those whose lives are threatened.
